Mommy and Daddy Hood!

Holy Craziness!! That is all that comes to my mind when I think in less than 35 days or so we will be parents! Haha!
I read and read and read and read it seems hundreds of different things and sources, as well as hear lots of advice from family and random people on parenting. Holy cow can it be over whelming! I will fully admit that I am really scared to be raising a child in this day and age with all the different medical conditions and sick psycho's that are out there but along the same lines I am so grateful for the medical technology and opportunities that are out there and that my kid will be able to experience and try.
The funny thing about reading everything I do, is that everyone says it is soo hard to raise a child and everything changes and you need to be prepared. While I do agree with that, I think that you really only can be prepared so much because life is life! There are so many variables and other craziness that goes on.
I guess this post is really to my amazing partner in crime. Tristan, Tristan, Tristan! What more can I say?!
Sometimes, I will read something about scary things happening to children or about how some peoples babies cry their first 5 months of life and think to myself, "Freakin A what did I get myself into?!!" But then I look over and see Tristan.... he is right there with me, 100%. He does everything he can for me and our little family. We always talk about everything and our feelings and especially our,"what ifs" about life and raising our little baby. Whenever we disagree, we always work it out, even if it is "to agree, to disagree". He is definitely my "crutch", I guess you could call it. He is always there for me and I am so grateful for that. I am grateful that we fought to stay together when others were convinced that we shouldn't be together. I couldn't ask for a better partner or daddy for our baby. I think the thing I am most grateful for is his patience =], I most definitely have the worst temper in the world and have NO patience! Tristan loves me in spite of myself haha. I am grateful that Tristan will be patient with me and our kids. I don't tell him this as often as I should and I guess that is why I write about it [even though my grammar and spelling is horrible! So my point doesn't get across very well in writing either ;)].
I am home all day and have lots of thinking time and I tell ya, when you are pregnant, you are crazy hormonal so little things will explode into huge deals, that you just have to tell the world.  Tristan texted me this morning after he left for work, "I love you forver." and I know he will. He does little small things like that, that just reiterate to me that there is nothing we won't be able to work out together.
I do love the guy despite the fact that his gassy butt stinks up our whole apartment!
And Tristan makes fun of me after he read these because I never ever proof read my posts, so really just make something up if it doesn't make sense when you read it! =]

This was us on like our 4th date =]

SInce I haven't posted in forever.....

Here are some BRAND SPANKING NEW PICTURES!! WOOT!
Tristan's best friend Chris came over and kindly took some pics for us =].

=]Here is our belly comparison. Tris is really pushing out. Poor guy he really has gained all of my pregnancy weight! Haha

=Sadly our bellies now meet our lips do!It was really weird the first time it happened, but now it is always really funny!

=I most likely will bring a bat with me when I am in labor to pummel Tristan with....but really, I love him more than anything and can't imagine my life without him. These last 6 months have been a breeze with him around =]. He gets me food and whatever else I need at anytime of the day, even when I wake him up in the middle of the night, He held my hair back for me and rubbed my back when I was throwing for half of my day. Not to mention the fact that he cleaned up wherever I was sick when I accidentally didn't make it to the bathroom in time. He is always incredibly patient with me =] but especially more so when I am really mad one second and bawling  because I spilled my water everywhere...pregnancy does crazy things to you and he doesn't even blink. I am eternally grateful to have him in my life and the fact that he still wanted to date me after I punched him on our first date =].

[ Haha I think that Tris totally looks like a creeper in this! He says cameras just don't like him hahaha. I am glad that my babies daddy is Tristan. He is so amazingly patient and is definitely a godsend when it comes to kids!HE will such a great daddy!!

This picture is basically the epitome of Tristan!Haha he is sooooo proud of himself! He can't wait to be a dad! Tristan when he gets home from work will get down on his knees and just start talking to my tummy about his day and Dorian goes nuts!! He can totally recognize his daddy, I love it!!

Tris and I got a new apartment that we really like and maybe later I will expound on it. =]

OKay this snow is rrealllllly starting to piss me off!!

So finally, after about a week of broken sleep, I slept like a baby last night with no freaky wierd dreams.
Last night we weent out with our best friends to The Cellar because they had never been before. TO tell you the truth, it was our worst visit yet! I called and made reservations on Thursday night for 8PM Saturday, we got there and..........no reservations. So we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table which is totally fine, it is worth the wait. They were so busy! Tris and I had never ever seen them as busy as they were and I guess they were short handed in the kitchen [I should have offered to help ;)]. Needless to say everything took a lot longer than usual. Lately, for the first time in my life, I have been getting back pain [talk about freaking lame.] and last night it decided it was going to get really bad. SO that was a major bummer! And the baby kept sticking his feet everywhere...so I was kind of having issues. Haha. I got a Flat Iron Steak with a Lobster tail, my steak was fine and it was served with a lobster demi glace that I wasn't sure I would like, but it was very good. My lobster was over cooked but sadly, I am used to that by now because I swear no one knows how to do it perfectly.
When we were done with dinner, we went to this house that had its Christmas lights synced to music, it was pretty entertaining to watch [mind you, I was really really really tired]. We then went to this other house that did the same thing but had a million more lights....holy buckets it was crazy
I finally put up the tree and decorated it, with a little bribe from Tristan [he let me open a present =D].
I am pretty pissed off because I am pretty sure that I have officially jinxed the weather, it hasn't stopped snowing all week! BLEH! SO I am praying it will STOP!
Yay less than 2 weeks til Christmas!!
And a little more than 3 til Tristan's BDAY!

BABY UPDATE

Holy Fudge!! This is little dude is crazy!! Everyday around mid day and right before we go to bed he decides that he is uncomfortable and needs to go run a marathon or dance around =].
It is the most SURREAL thing ever to see your tummy move! Before I could just feel him and now I can feel him AND see him move! It is crazy! I wish I could explain it better.... it feels crazy and seeing it is even crazier!
Tristan LOVES it! He thinks it is the coolest thing ever! I however have seen way too many sci-fi/horror movies and I keep thinking it is just going to BURST right outta here!
when he kicks [or whatever it is] my whole belly shakes! Hahahaha. I can always tell which side he is lying on because my stomach will be slightly larger on that side.
It is just so neat! I mean after being pregnant/ seeing it, how can you not believe in a higher power? It is just such a crazy, neat, amazing, powerful experience. If you ever get the oppurtunity it is just.....celestial.

Blah Blobbity Blah....I mean, Happy Holidays Yay!

Ha ha holy cow!! I am so excited for Christmas and I am even more excited that we have had hardly ANY snow!! I mean, it has snowed about 5 times and this last time we still have junk on the ground because it is too cold to melt BUT I am just soooo happy that I don't have to deal with it as much as last year! WOO HOO! =]
So today Tristan finally brought up all of the Christmas stuff that his mom let me look through and have whatever I wanted [which was awesome!]. It has been sitting in the back of the expedition for like 2 weeks, and I discovered today that I married a GRINCH! Haha he refuses to put up any Christmas decoration because his mom always made him do it when he was younger. When I put up all the little knick nacks and other standing objects I decided I would tackle the tree, which I ended up not doing because it is pretty lame to set up a tree by yourself...so maybe tomorrow or monday I will tackle that.
Since I have way too much time on my hands this year, I am going to make yummy Christmas goodies for family/friends. I got a whole bunch of really fun treat recipes from  http://www.foodnetwork.com/  which is my go to source for anything and everything to do with food! I am planning on making homemade marshmallows and using those in several different different ways [cover the bottom in carmel/pretzels, put crushed oreo's on the bottom], homemade carmel turtles and red velvet sandwich cookies. And so we will see how everything turns out because I have never made homemade carmel or marshmallows.

Tristan's birthday is the 31st!! YAY! I am so excited! He is going to be 27! Holy cow! I tell him everyday as I recite the days left, how very, very old he is going to be! SO can you see why we had kids fast? Poor guy needs to be able to throw a football to Dorian without using a cain ;D. I am just kidding! [BUT REALLY!]. For his birthday this year, he just wants The Count of Monte on DVD and a nice dinner.....which, because I have so much fudging time on my hands I already have planned! On the 30th I am going to the store to see what meat I feel like making. I am going to serve that with a parmesan butter balsamic glaze. He wants asparagus and I am debating between doing an asian soy-ginger glaze or just grill them with roasted garlic. He wanted roasted garlic mashed potatoes that I am going to do with fingerling potatoes left whole, smash them, the smear them with roasted garlic. For dessert  I am really pushing my baking retardation and trying a chocolate dacqousie cake that actually has meringue layers and dark chocolate ganosh. If I pull it off it will be dang good AND a miracle! All of this will be candle lit and blah blah blah.... haha I realize that if you actually read this you must be pretty bored, so I am sorry =].
NOW I need to go and make dinner because I promised Tristan if he did the dishes I would start and he has been done for like 40 mins.
=]
Happy December!

Progress in the Bakery!

Novemeber 17, 2009 we found out that we are having a BOY!Ultrasounds are so funny to me because I really can't tell what I am looking at until our UST points out what we are looking at.

Here is his nice big head!! Tristan has a HUGE noggin! I mean not only is he very knowledgeable, his skull structure is very large!

I just can't get over his cute little nose and mouth! These pics are really funny because the tech got everything she needed except a good brain picture because his head was stuck down in my pelvis, and all he needed to do was turn his head to the left.

He is such a stubborn little boy! Hopefully he is more like Tristan =]. Finally 25 mins later with lots of coaxing he moved.

Here is a spinal shot. We are just so grateful because everything was normal and with all of his measurements he is the middle of the "averageness" of babies.

He hopefully will be tall just like his daddy and not be on the short side of the stick.

For some reason during the ultrasound I didn't realize he was going to be a boy, don't ask, but he is very much going to be a boy!

Yup! The little arrow cracks me up! We are actually very relieved to have a boy first because then if we have more kids he will beat up little punks that are bugging his siblings.

Girls will definitely be all over him! Tristan really wants me to put a joke on here but considering the people who read this, I will spare you the crude humor, I am sure it will end up on facebook though.

I just love all of the little feet!

We couldn't be more grateful for this amazing experience! It has definitely been an adventure already! I am definitely ready for the day when I just feel normal again!!! He is a great little guy in there most of the time, he is about 14.2 ounces so I should feel him more in a month or so, it is such a neat thing when he does go "crazy" in there! Especially when Tristan talks to him, I really don't "talk" with him as much but I listen to great music and lots of different variety everyday so maybe he will appreciate it more =].

Getting.........................FAT........... :|

So I suuuuuper excited about being a mommy!!! And for the first time in my life....I actually care about getting fat.. how freaking horrible am I? Haha I mean I am not even like "pregnant fat" yet but I am getting a little belly and it is just odd because now I get a cramp if I sit in certain positions. Last night I was bored and I started to look at maternity clothes!! Holy cow!! Getting fat looks so much better when there are cute clothes out there! Yahoo!
